Delavan Youth Football and Cheer

February 18th, 2026

1.Call to Order: 6:05PM

2.Roll Call : David Henriott, Jenni Schultz, Tommy CdeBaca, Cassie Martino, Mike Garbe, Steven Schultz Sr., Greg Nichols,Stacey Kibler, Brianna Dean, Steven Schultz Jr, Mark Kibler 

3.Approval of January 28, 2026 Minutes *Steven Schultz Sr/ *Tommy CdeBaca 2nd -all approved

4. Reports:

President: Dave Henriott - Nothing

V.P. : Mike Garbe - Nothing

Secretary : Stacey Kibler - Nothing

Treasurer : Cassi Martino - 1k check for scholarships to clear yet

Administrator: Greg Nichols - Nothing

League: Steven Schultz - Next League meeting March 11th

Concessions/Fundraiser: Brenda- Absent

At- Large: Tommy CdeBaca- Nothing

   5. Old Business

  1. a. Budget- Looked over the projected budget which is based off of last year's numbers- $15,000.00, with other costs being organization insurance competition cheer, and new and upgrading current football equipment, as well as football uniforms.  Increasing football equipment to $3,000.00 to purchase Cones, square dummies, fixing/updating sled etc.  Motion to approve: Steven Schultz Sr | 2nd Mike Garbe

  2. Fundraising

    1.  Last year 883 Comet Cards were sold. 

    2. Brenda is starting to reach out to repeat business to be on the card.  

    3. Dave is going to look into the website attachment option at registration to send out fundraising information right away.

    4. July 2nd- Brenda will have a table at one of the City’s 4th of July celebration events.

    5. 2026 Season - going to keep it at 20 cards to sell per athlete, and only order 1000 cards to begin with.  Also, want to explore a new card printing business to see if we can save.

  3. Registrations are open – live for sideline cheer, competition cheer, football camp, football season 6-8th only, 5th has to wait– Will be a Cheer Camp and 7 on 7

6. New Business

  1. a. Helmets are going out this week for certification. 

  2. b. Spring Shed Clean up – Pants - Old uniforms

    1. Will need to go through this spring and go through all the practice pants, toss what is no longer usable and see where we are left at.  Likely will keep last year's game pants for practices but will assess based sizes/numbers.

7.Open Discussion

  • Mark Kibler - Would like to see 3rd & 4th grade tackle be added to the program.  Outside of Whitewater all programs have tackle and/or flags and this age and younger.  Maybe first year do an inhouse program at this age level.  There is a Rock Valley Football League.

    • YMCA coming will likely take over most rec sports, therefore we really need to discuss the flag program before YMCA takes it.

    • Dave H to look into costs and possibilities - Doesn’t think it can happen for this season but potentially next year. 

  • Brianna Dean

    • Cheer Camp - Same date as the football camp, ages 8-13 welcome.

    • RVC - DDHS to host November 21st

      • Youth and Highschool Levels to compete for conference title

      • 0$ cost for youth level

      • Would like DDYF to run concessions

        • Will need a lot of volunteers - this is an all day event.

8. Next Meeting: March 18th 2026 6pm – Community Room Town bank
